FLIGHT LESSON 54: DUAL CROSS-COUNTRY

Objective: To re-evaluate the pilot’s ability to conduct a cross-country flight for the purpose of ensuring the pilot meets the minimum standards required by the current FAA Commercial Pilot Practical Test Standards. At a minimum, this flight will include a landing at an airport that is a straight-line distance of more than 50 NM from the original point of departure.

Completion Standards

The lesson will have been successfully completed when the pilot demonstrates the knowledge and skill to safely act as pilot in command during all phases of a cross-country flight. The pilot will be able to complete each task to the minimum standards listed in the current FAA Commercial Pilot Practical Test Standards.
