Completion Standards

The lesson will have been successfully completed when the pilot demonstrates an understanding of IFR flight planning; copying, readback, and compliance with ATC clearances; IFR departures and arrivals; and emergency operations. Additionally, the pilot will be able to calculate ETEs and ETAs and understand the reasons for course changes that are issued by ATC or requested due to weather conditions. The pilot will be able to maintain the desired altitude, ±100 ft.; airspeed, ±10 kt.; and heading, ±10°; and to track a course or radial.
